Ama is an abstract painter, teaching artist, and single mother of 2 children. Ama splits her time between Chico, where she runs art classes at Ama Posey Studios, and San Francisco, where she operates her studio painting practice.

 

   Ama teaches educational art classes, Art Camp for kids, workshops, and a variety of art events for all ages and abilities throughout the year. She holds a BFA in Painting and Drawing, as well as a BA in Art Education from CSU Chico.
